IIT-M, My Alma Mater

A collection of some nostalgic thoughts and the blues of the end (which though right now are not letting me study for the last exam at IIT!)

The qualities which define the IIT-Gene, the "most useful" things at IIT we learned.....

How to make a presentation without even Google-ing even once for the topic
I am an expert of this! Believe me, internet is gigantic.

To understand something you really need to read between the lines and to search between the shelves in the library to get the hidden books.
Bomy had real tough time to gather Piskunov and Calister during the first year!

We can do stuff without knowing anything or nothing at all about them.
Yeah! An IIT-ian would never turn his face from something new.

Learned being present in the classroom and hostel room simultaneously!!
The best efficiency factor in us, certified by The Honorable Director of IIT-M at the 49th Institute Day when asked by the Director of Delhi Metro Corp., "How do these IIT-ians are able to perform so many things?"

Can you proxy for yourself? Well, we can. Just reach the classroom just before its over!
Thats in case the movie gets over or we get up just before the class ends.

A very useful technology to get physically unwell in the past without using any of the Einstein's theories!
In case we are unable to do both of the above. (Huge thanks to Dr. M for the medical certificates)

How to be a perfect 'analyst' and predict the next day's question paper using previous year's data.
Professors do care about us :)

A useful hobby of collecting the sign-stamps of IIT departments for a better purpose when others are busy collecting movies.
Our seniors' tribute to the institute which they never passed on to the juniors :(

A woman's best weapon - 'tears'! we, guys, used it several times to save our ass.
My batch was expert in that, be it Dean students, Dean Acads or the "Parmanand Singh"

How to RG someone to totally thwack and thwart him.
(The link to that blog will be here soon)
When it comes to "By hook or by Crook" :P

The modern Godfathers are in here. Soon the country will see politicians from IITs!
Everything is fair in war. (No, not naming the love right now, the sex ratio is too low)

Girls! Girls! Girls!
Thats usually a sign board in European countries . But in IITs, it is directly the number of girls residing in!

Presentation is our forte! And we know how to present much more work than done in a project.
(And thats how I finished my BTP in just one week.)
Warm thanks to subscription to Science Direct and torrent-downloaded software tools!

Mind it! And just take it from me. The most important keys on a standard keyboard are "CTRL", "C" and "V"
You got it right! Its just so difficult to survive without them.

High-end technical skills to copy Prof.'s pen-drive data without even letting him know using specially developed softwares!
(Juniors are recommended to ask me for that)
We turn ideas into products :D

Save paper. Say no to Xerox shops. We use our (multi-purpose) Digi-cams to take pictures of all notes and read them while orkutting on our computers!
Well, thats really an advancement.

And surely, How to make our dreams come true!
with the heartiest voice of every IITian.....

Love you IIT-M.....I'll miss you
